An East New York family is outraged after it says its 5-year-old was able to walk out of school today.

According to the child's mother, Emma Ocasio, the 5-year-old boy wandered through the front door of P.S. 345 during his lunch period.

The boy was able to get four blocks away before adults saw him and flagged down school patrol officers.

The school's principal refused to speak with News 12 Brooklyn, but the city's Department of Education released a statement saying, "Disciplinary action was taken against a school aide. The principal is available if the parent has any concerns."
