A memorial service was held Friday for an East New York Army specialist killed in Afghanistan.
Kevin Hill, 23, was killed during a firefight earlier this month. He had attended Dewey High School before serving a tour of duty in Iraq. He then served in Afghanistan.
Hill will be posthumously awarded a Purple Heart. He will be buried at Cypress Hills Cemetery on Saturday.
