Technical difficulties have prevented customers of TD Bank from withdrawing money on the first of the month when rents and mortgages are due.

According to a TD Bank representative, a computer problem caused by TD's merger with another bank has made it impossible to withdraw cash, get money from Social Security checks, deposit checks or view account balances.

While customers of a Coney Island TD Bank branch were initially told the problem was supposed to be resolved by 12 p.m., TD's corporate office says it is expected to be fixed by Thursday evening.
