A Fort Greene family is offering a reward for the safe return of their dog that they believe was stolen.
The Barrett family says video surveillance shows a couple with their dog outside a store on Fulton Street. They say the 11-year-old animal was tied to a post when it was taken.
The case has prompted Assemblyman Joseph Lentol to draw up a bill that would give harsher penalties to those who steal dogs.
