Restaurants and businesses are currently being built on Cortelyou Road to replace boarded up buildings in an effect to revive the neighborhood.
One resident says store owners will be given at least 1,000-square feet to work with.
Ditmas Park has been coined an up and coming neighborhood in what residents are calling a revitalization of Cortelyou Road. One of the new businesses settling in may be up and running next month.
Residents hope Ditmas Park will gain popularity but keep its charm.
