A Brooklyn priest was sentenced to a six-year probation Thursday for inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl.

Former priest Augusto Cortez was accused of touching a 12-year-old?s breast and settled for the probation. Cortez was an advisor to the pre-teen at the St. John Baptist School. The family says they feel that Cortez?s actions were beyond damaging.

Originally there were three misdemeanor charges against the priest. He settled with the district attorney, only pleading guilty to the one count of forcible touching.
