Police say a New York state corrections officer was fatally shot early Sunday morning outside 658 Nostrand Ave. in Crown Heights.
Authorities say the 30-year-old officer was shot multiple times at around 1 a.m. Emergency responders rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police say the officer was gunned down outside a barber shop where friends say he frequently got his hair cut. Authorities searched the scene for evidence but say they have not arrested any suspects.
