Building collapse prompts B54 detour

A building collapse in Clinton Hill has forced the rerouting of the B54 bus, causing significant delays.
Bus riders who catch the B54 on Myrtle Avenue say that several of the buses that passed by used a service road instead of the detour, adding to their frustration.
"Sometimes you don't know if it's going to come out on Washington Avenue or on Vanderbilt [Avenue] - they don't tell you," says Robert Goode, who rides the B54.
On Sunday, 493 Myrtle Ave. collapsed, leaving four people with minor injuries and leading to the evacuation of six adjacent buildings.
The MTA says the B54 detour will be in place for the foreseeable future.
