Police make arrests in 1986 slaying
Police say they've solved the 1986 murder of a Brooklyn businessman.
Samuel Quentzel, who owned a plumbing business in Brooklyn, was shot and killed outside his Long Island home in October 1986.
Police now say that two men, Lewis Slaughter and Roger Williams, have been linked to Quentzel's death through DNA and are being charged in his murder.
The pair, who prosecutors say are career criminals, refused to enter pleas Wednesday at their arraignment and told the judge that they intend to represent themselves. A judge entered not guilty pleas on their behalf.
AP wire services were used in this report.
