Residents sign up to donate bone marrow

Park Slope residents came together Sunday to become bone marrow donors.
Many of the residents say they were motivated to sign up at the Prospect Park YMCA because of the struggle of a 4-year-old boy who was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer.
Those who become a donor will be put on a national registry. In order to be matched as a donor, residents must be in good general health.
