Boy takes fatal fall in Crown Heights
Police and the medical examiner are investigating the death of a 9-year-old boy who fell from a building in Crown Heights Tuesday night.
Police are not speculating whether the boy was pushed by someone or took the leap himself from the window at 1430 Bergen St.
Neighbor Robert Molina says he tried to help the boy, who was seen lying on the ground near a clear plastic bag.
"I figured he tried to jump off the roof and fly with the bag," Molina says.
Residents at Albany Houses were shocked by the news of the boy's fatal fall.
"He was a good little kid," says tenant Lee Bostic. "You don't find many children in the world like that, not in these buildings."
