Police were on the scene Friday investigating what appears to be a murder mystery.

Police responded to a call about a car accident around 1:30 a.m. A Lincoln Town Car had collided into the side of a tractor-trailer. While investigating, police found the body of a dead man a few feet from the accident. Investigators say the man had been shot in the torso.

Officials have not confirmed if the man was the driver of the Lincoln. They also do not know if he was shot before exiting the car or if he exited the car first.

No arrests have been made.
