Brooklyn residents enjoy warm winter weather

Brooklyn residents are enjoying warm temperatures after a cold snap.

Temperatures were in the 50s Monday and expected to continue through Thursday. People took advantage of the mild weather and strolled along the water in Sheepshead Bay on Emmons Avenue. Bicyclists were also out.

Forecasters attribute the warm weather to winds coming up from the South.

They predict more frigid temperatures will return by next week, with the mercury expected to dip into the 30s.
