Jason Marcelle, the father of a 3-year-old Bed-Stuy girl who officials say died of blunt-force trauma Wednesday, has been charged in her death.

Authorities found Takai Marcelle unconscious at 350 Marcus Garvey Blvd. She was rushed to Interfaith Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

Medical examiners ruled that she died from blunt-force trauma to the head.

Neighbors say they often heard arguing coming from the residence and that the child lived in an abusive and violent home. The Administration for Children's Services took custody of the girl's three siblings.

Jason Marcelle is facing charges of murder and manslaughter. Related information:
