Gas prices cause holiday travelers to hit the brakes
High gas prices are deterring some Brooklyn and city residents from traveling for the holidays.
"Everybody's coming to my house this Thanksgiving," says Brooklyn driver Denise Irizarry. "I'll have 32 people at my table."
The cheapest gas in Brooklyn is $3.13, according to New York Gas Prices. That deal can be found at a Hess and a Mobil station on Fourth Avenue.
The price at the pump went up 13 cents in the last two weeks, according to a Lundberg survey. AAA says if crude oil prices stay high, gas prices could hit $4 per gallon in the future.
