Police say five people were shot Sunday in a fight outside an East New York catering hall, where a christening party was held.
The gunfire erupted around 1 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue. According to officials, a man fatally shot another 22-year-old man. Police say they shot the suspect in the leg as he tried to flee the scene.
Three other men were also shot. One of them was seriously wounded in his torso. The other two suffered non-life threatening injuries.
