A woman is dead and two men are hospitalized after a suspicious fire ripped through their East New York apartment. Flames erupted on the sixth floor of the Euclid Avenue building around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

1 dead, 2 injured in suspicious East New York fire
A woman is dead and two men are hospitalized after a suspicious fire ripped through their East New York apartment.
Flames erupted on the sixth floor of the Euclid Avenue building around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The 37-year-old woman was pronounced dead on the scene. She was not immediately identified. A teenaged man and a male believed to be her boyfriend were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Authorities are now trying to figure out if the fire may have been a cover-up for the woman?s murder. Police confirm to News 12 Brooklyn that a gun was recovered from the scene.
No arrests have been made. Fire officials say the official cause of the fire remains under investigation. The medical examiner will determine what caused the woman's death.
