Fire injures two at Coney Island apartments

A fire in a Coney Island apartment building left two people injured Wednesday.
According to officials, the one-alarm fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. on the eighth floor at the Trump Village complex on Neptune Avenue. Neighbors say they were awakened by banging noises. Firefighters were able to contain the flames to one floor.
Responders say a woman in cardiac arrest was transported to a hospital. They also treated a man suffering from smoke-related injuries.
Three firefighters were also hurt battling the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
