A Brooklyn-based organic online food company is delivering fresh food, minus the cost of the middleman.
The owners of OrganicDirect say customers can order more than 1,000 varieties of food that's all certified organic. The food is free of growth hormones, manmade fertilizers and chemicals.
Co-founder Oleg Koshbal believes his company has an upper hand over other organic produce suppliers. "The products we manufacture come from Amish Country," Koshbal says.
"Why go to the middleman when you can go direct through OrganicDirect.com?," co-founder Vladimir Grienberg added about his low prices.
Customers can also order breads, dairy products and desserts made by the company. They can even suggest what items should be available. Delivery is free.
