Some Mill Basin homeowners complain small houses of worship are popping up all over their residential streets, bringing traffic.

Concerned residents faxed a letter to News 12 Brooklyn saying, "Traffic, double parking and congestion have increased dramatically while our neighborhood quality of life has dropped dramatically."

Homeowners have written numerous letters to elected officials about the issue. They have also complained about the Mill Basin Sephardic Congregation on E. 64th Street near Avenue U.Congregation members counter they are not causing any problems and they maintain they practice carpooling to minimize traffic tie-ups.

The Department of City Planning says the practice of converting houses into churches is legal.
