Displaced residents swarm Walton Ave. building after fire

Upset residents who were displaced by a fire at their Walton Avenue apartments last week swarmed the building today.Last week's fire damaged 30 apartments on the south side of the building, forcing the city's Department of Buildings to order some residents out. Residents tell News 12 The Bronx that there was a miscommunication today on who would be let into their apartments to retrieve their belongings.Officials say structural work on the affected areas has been completed. The Department of Buildings has arranged for tenants to access their apartments on a floor-by-floor basis, today through Thursday.
