Morrisania holds anti-violence rally after 4-year-old's death

The Morrisania community came together tonight to rally against gun violence after a 4-year-old was killed and two others were injured at a playground last night.

According to witnesses, chaos erupted at a basketball tournament at the Forest Houses on East 165th Street at around 9:30 p.m. EMS officials say Lloyd Morgan was playing when he was shot in the head.

Assemblyman Eric Stevenson, who led the rally, says the deadly shooting should be a wakeup call for all city officials.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
