Con Ed, union workers hope to continue talks Thursday

Con Edison and union workers are set to meet on Thursday in an effort to continue contract negotiations as the employee lockout continues.
Nearly 8,500 workers are affected by the lockout, hundreds of whom have picketed for a third day outside the utility's facility in Van Nest. Union reps say pickets are targeting locations where managers are filling in for their workers.
Con Edison has temporarily replaced union workers with 5,000 managers.
Both sides say there are many issues on which they have not reached an agreement, including changing pension terms.
