BX native bats 30th homer against the Mets

A Bronx native and pro baseball player Pedro Alvarez returned home this week, batting his 30th home run against the New York Mets.
The Horace Mann High School alum is about to finish his breakout season with the Pittsburgh Pirates after struggling with a leg injury last year.
Alvarez says he still has family in The Bronx and was happy to hit a milestone with them close by.
