Bronx Guild H.S. plants orchard for good cause
Students at the Bronx Guild High School are lending a helping hand to make their school ?greener.?
Students, along with family and community members, helped plant more than 120 fruit trees on the school?s grounds. Once grown, the fruit will be harvested by the students for use in the school?s lunch room and local soup kitchens. The Stretch Island Fruit Co. program is currently planting another orchard with students at Jonathan D. Hyatts School in Mott Haven.
