Parents thank police for arresting suspected serial arsonist
A Fordham Manor couple is expressing relief after police arrested their son and charged him with deliberately setting a string of fires in Queens over the past several months.Police believe 43-year-old Dominique Dihn set at least 13 fires, including one at a Queens Laundromat that left dozens of firefighters injured. Investigators say Dihn has a long rap sheet that includes 45 prior arrests for other crimes, including burglary.News 12 The Bronx spoke with the parents of the suspected serial arsonist. They say he often comes to their home to demand money, and that he refuses to listen to them. Dihn's parents say they are thankful to police for taking him into custody.Dihn's parents say they would like authorities to return him to their native country, Vietnam, in hopes that he will stay out of trouble.
