The family of 20-year-old Reynaldo Cuevas met with The Bronx district attorney at a press conference today in the hope of getting answers about why police accidentally killed Cuevas during a bodega robbery.
The district attorney agreed to conduct an independent investigation into the incident today. During the press conference, Cuevas' mother fainted as she listened to the details about her son's death.
Three men allegedly held Cuevas at gunpoint at Natalie Grocery last Thursday night, but when Cuevas broke free and burst out the front door, he was shot and killed by police.
The three suspects are currently awaiting arraignment on second-degree murder charges.
