So long summer: Bronx schools back in session

Earlier this year it looked as though not every school in The Bronx would be open this fall, but thanks to a judge, all classes are now back in session.
Lehman High School was among the struggling schools that welcomed students back, despite the Department of Education's (DOE) plan to shut it down and reopen it under a new name.
Earlier this summer a judge had ruled against the "turn-around" plan, citing school closures would violate teachers' contracts. The city has vowed to appeal the decision.
