FDA releases list of hospitals possibly linked to tainted steroids

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released a list of area hospitals and medical facilities that received products possibly affected by the fungal meningitis outbreak.
Bronx facilities on the list are Ambulatory Surgery Center of Greater New York, Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Lincoln Hospital and New York Sport and Spine on Eastchester Road. The facilities have all received products from the Massachusetts manufacturing company at the center of the outbreak, which has now spread to 23 states after the company distributed contaminated steroid vials used to treat back pain and inflammation.
The FDA says the facilities did not necessarily receive the contaminated steroids, but had received products from the company. Anyone with concerns has been urged to contact their doctor.
