Arts center for at-risk youth opens in South Bronx
A new arts facility is open for at-risk students in the South Bronx. Today was the grand opening of the YOUmedia Center, the DreamYard Project's new center for the arts. The YOUmedia Center features new computers, hang out areas and even a music recording studio for students. DreamYard is a nonprofit and the largest arts education provider in The Bronx. It provides programming across 42 public schools. The center's staff says it expects hundreds of students in the area to use the new facility.
