Drivers: MTA agreed to add 1,000 bus partitions

Some city bus drivers will soon have added on-the-job protection.
According to drivers, the MTA agreed Wednesday to purchase an additional 1,000 bus partitions in an effort to reduce assaults, which have increased in recent months.
Many drivers say they're upset that they had to go through their worker's union to bring attention to their safety and they don't think the NYPD is doing enough to prevent future incidents.
The new partitions are expected to be installed by the end of the year.
