Cops are trying to find a man who they say is stealing jewelry from elderly people in Hunts Point and Longwood.
In one case, the suspect promised a 76-year-old woman that he would clean her necklace on Sept. 29, according to police. He then took it off her neck and ran away.
Local leaders say they believe the man is the same person who has approached at least four other elderly victims in the area and pretended to know them before grabbing their jewelry.
