Mom gives birth inside Bronx elevator

A Bronx baby made a grand entrance into the world Monday after her mother gave birth inside an elevator.
Ninfa Ramirez began having labor pains Sunday night, but doctors said she had more time and sent her back home. When the pain became unbearable, she and her child's father, Armando Ortiz, got in the elevator of their Bronx Park East building.
The couple says it quickly became clear that they wouldn't make it to the hospital, and Ortiz helped deliver his daughter, Monserath Ortiz.
The family says that both mom and baby are in good spirits and good health.
