Tenants left high & dry at Edenwald Houses

Dozens of tenants in the largest city housing complex in The Bronx were left to fetch their own pails of water for most of the night.
According to residents, water was cut off to 50 homes inside the Edenwald Houses at around 4 p.m. Monday following a pipe burst. They say everyone resorted to filling up their trash bins with water at a nearby hydrant, despite a police presence trying to stop them.
A NYCHA maintenance team was on the scene for hours and has restored water to all affected apartments.
