Kosciusko Bridge slated to open this week

The new Kosciuszko Bridge is set to make its debut this week, according to state officials.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office announced that drivers will be allowed on the bridge starting on Thursday.
The grand opening will be marked by a light show, which will kick off the "New York Harbor of Lights" series.
The series will transform New York's structures into tourist attractions with multi-colored LED lights.
The Kosciuszko is the first bridge constructed by New York City in more than 50 years.
Plans to demolish the old bridge are scheduled to begin in July.
