NYCHA residents celebrate opening of new dance studio

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT -

A NYCHA complex in Bedford-Stuyvesant celebrated the grand opening of a state-of-the-art dance studio space Saturday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of the new dance studio within the Atlantic Terminal Community Center.

Upgrades include a paint job, new flooring, staging area, doors, mirrors and the installation of ballet bars.

The project costed $135,000 and took about two and a half years to complete. Children of all ages say the room is amazing.

Atlantic Terminal residents say they are looking forward to new positive changes ahead for the youth in their community.
