An organization helped people recycle their electronic waste Saturday, including old phones and TVs.
The fourth annual E-waste Recycling Pick-up Event was held on Grand Street, thanks to a partnership between the Grand Street Bid and the Lower East Side Ecology Center.
Organizers say the electronic waste collected was taken away to be sorted, where some of it was re-purposed and the rest used as scraps.
State law prohibits electronics from being thrown in residential trash.
