Immigrant communities rally for better protection

Immigrant communities from around Brooklyn rallied Saturday over what they call President Donald Trump's hateful rhetoric against them.
The crowd gathered outside Prospect Park demanding better policing for protection.
"We don't want people to make us seem like the bad people, like the rapists, the ones who are going to steal your job, it's not true," says Jennifer Avendano. "We just came here to increase the economy, to have this country to build up and become one of the best countries."
Those rallying say they they feel their hard work isn't recognized, and that police have been targeting them for no reason.
"We don't want no black community or Latino community to be afraid of the police," Avendano says. "That's the main thing we want. We want the police to provide a safety for us."
