Residents soak up sun on hottest day of the year -- so far

BROOKLYN -

Some Bath Beach residents soaked up the sun on the hottest day of the year so far.

Plenty of folks were seen going for a jog, bike ride or even playing tennis. Some opted for a more laid-back approach by lounging around and working on a spring tan.

While some reveled in the sun, others took steps to keep cool, such as wearing as few layers as possible, walking with an umbrella or hiding under a tree.

Temperatures Friday are expected to be in the 80s before cooling down to the 60s this weekend.
