Luna Park ride introduces virtual reality option

Posted: Updated:
BROOKLYN -

Thrill-seekers can check out a new attraction at Coney Island's Luna Park.

The park is introducing its first attempt at the world of virtual reality amusements - the WindstarZ VR.

The virtual reality is an option available for an extra cost for those willing to amp up their typical ride experience on the standard WindstarZ hang gliding attraction.

"We're allowing them to create their own experience," says Brand Manager Angie Morris. "They're pushing and pulling and we thought since we are already doing that, how can we turn it up a little and really allow them to get the best experience possible? That's what we did with the virtual reality."
