A Brooklyn woman is devastated after her husband's van was stolen in broad daylight.
In a surveillance video, a man in a blue shirt is seen walking up to the vehicle on Bedford Avenue. He fiddles with the door, then gets in, making a U-turn before driving away.
Myra Alonzo says she is shocked it happened so easily.
Police say this vehicle is one of almost 800 stolen in Brooklyn over the past year. They say to prevent cars from being stolen, lock the car doors, park in well-lit areas and never leave keys unattended. Alonzo says her husband did all of these.
