Dancers are bringing attention to one of the nation's most polluted bodies of water located in Brooklyn.
The Gowanus Canal has been designated as a Superfund site, marking it as one of the most contaminated areas in the country.
The Artichoke Dance Company is raising awareness through a series of artistic performances, as part of Global Water Dance Day.
The group was joined with performances from students of P.S. 32 and P.S. 372 in an effort to remind people to use less plastic, recycle and never take clean water for granted.
