2 wanted in connection with Sunset Park burglaries

SUNSET PARK -

Police are warning Sunset Park residents and business owners of a string of burglaries in the area.

Authorities say two people are wanted in connection with six burglaries of area businesses ranging from as far back as May 30, when the suspects forced open a basement door on 51st Street, but ended up getting away with nothing.

Most recently, police say the suspects stole $2,900 from Mr. Q's on 8th Avenue.

During these burglaries, the male suspect breaks into the buildings while the female suspect serves as a lookout, according to police.

Police say the two have stolen more than $12,000 in cash, electronic devices and beer. The male suspect was last seen wearing red sneakers and a hooded sweatshirt, while his female accomplice had a duffel bag and hair worn in a bun
