12 on Health: Free classes for pregnant women

Posted: Updated:
BROOKLYN -

The New York City's Department of Health is offering pregnant women in Brooklyn free educational classes.

The DOH will pay for expecting parents in Brooklyn to attend the course at Healthy Start Brooklyn, an education and support program about pregnancy.

Similar classes normally cost around $100, but the DOH is offering them for free.

Some of the topics the couples attending the classes learned about were child birth, parenting, breastfeeding and healthy living.
