African Arts Festival held at Commodore Barry Park

The International African Arts Festival is being held at Commodore Barry Park.
The event is an opportunity for Brooklyn residents to find unique African print outfits, paintings and sculptures.
The event began in 1971 as the African Street Festival as a PTA fundraiser for a school in Bedford-Stuyvesant. It has now grown into a four-day event that is held every year.
Some vendors have been coming out to the event for at least 20 years. They say that African items have become more popular over the years.
The festival continues until July 4. It is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
