Brooklyn businesses prepared Monday for the expected crowds on the Fourth of July.
At Luke's Lobster, located at 11 Water St. in Dumbo, plenty of people were chowing down on lobster rolls and sipping on lemonade, and that's what the chef expects more people will do on July 4. The restaurant has stocked up on supplies and will have extra staff working.
Dema Balidmig, owner of 7 Old Fulton on Fulton Street, says the Fourth of July is always fun and exciting. The restaurant is frequented by families looking to have a sit-down meal, and it also features outdoor seating.
Balidmig says Dumbo is an area people flock to every year for the fireworks.
