While some people go to the beach or a studio to mediate, one Clinton Hill woman brings a little bit of Zen to her front stoop.
Every Thursday, Danielle Fazzolari welcomes her neighbors to meditate with her on her stoop.
“It’s for the community, it’s for the neighbors. It’s for anyone who wants to come,” says Fazzolari, a certified meditation teacher.
According to Fazzolari, she started the stoop side meditation group in November.
“It started up right after Trump got elected, actually. After we woke up that morning, and knew he was in office, we just knew there were a lot of emotions going, whether they were…angry, sad or happy,” says Fazzolari. “I just wanted to create a space where we could all come together.”
The stoop is located at the corner of Washington and Gates in Clinton Hill.
