‘Hall of Fame Day’ brings stickball to Brooklyn ballpark
The sport of stickball originated out of the streets of Brooklyn, and Sunday it was celebrated on Coney Island.
The second annual Stickball Hall of Fame Day took place at MCU Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. Players of all ages, including legends in the Hall of Fame, came out to play the game they love.
The game was held to bring awareness and promote the sport of stickball, which has seen a decline in popularity among children over past years.
