Cleanup begins after fire rips through Borough Park building

Cleanup began in Borough Park Monday after a fire ripped through a building Sunday evening.

The fire occurred at 4122 10th Ave. around 7:19 p.m.

Firefighters say the fire started on the first floor of a laundromat and spread to the second-floor apartments.

A deli next door also sustained damage as a result of the fire and is currently boarded up.

Firefighters say three people, including a firefighter, were taken to Maimonides Medical Center with minor injuries.
