Rakim, DMX and others will perform for the grand finale of the 13th annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival in Dumbo.
Organizers say they want to celebrate more than just the music. They're honoring the entire hip-hop culture.
To that end, this year's festivities include lectures, art exhibits, fashion shows and workshops.
"Whether you're a little chubby black kid or a nerdy little girl from Queens, hip-hop has a place for you," says Wes Jackson, the festival's founder. "Whether you want to be an accountant, a lawyer, a designer, a web developer, an editor, a photographer -- hip-hop is really here for you. It's not just about being Beyonce and Jay-Z, although we love them as well."
The festival wraps up with its grand finale concert Saturday night.
